PBS (Butylene succinate)

PBS can be divided as the petro based PBS and the bio based PBS.

PBS is biodegradable polyester plastic which is excellent in modular processing. While on disposal they decompose to water and carbon dioxide in natural environment. It is internationally recognised as completely biodegradable polymer.

Melting point:115 Celsuis

Crystallinity: 30-40%

Tension yield:600%

Yield strngth:28Mpa

Mechanical property: similar to traditional plastics (PE&PP)

Advantage of the modified PBS   

1. Exellent molding processability:This is the most important factor for degradable plastic application in real life. It can be molded for plastics for any kind.

2. Nice mecahnical property: Its mechanical property which stands between PE and PP can reach the requirements of plastics in wild use.

3. Easy biodegradability: By the action of compost, biodegradability ratio hits 90% with 90 days.

4. Stron resistance to heat:　The deformation temperature is near 100 Celsuis and over 100 Celsuis after modification. So it can be used for packaging. Such as cy and hot drink boxed and food packages.

5. Wide application:Due to its wide application in packaging, dispodable apparatus, agricultural and medical materials.
